"Question Belief"

free-think-er n. A person who forms opinions on the basis of reason, independent of authority or tradition. Freethinkers include atheists, agnostics, skeptics, humanists and rationalists.

 Freethinkers of Ventura County is a philosophically diverse group of people with eclectic interests whose common thread is to question belief. FTVC promotes rational thinking by hosting monthly meetings with expert speakers on a wide variety of topics. The organization is both educational and social.

Monday Meetings

Meetings are held every third Monday of the month from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Round Table Pizzas, 880 Arneill Road, Camarillo (Lewis Road exit, between Vons and K-Mart). Those who wish to join us for dinner as well should arrive between 6:00 - 6:30. Special events at alternative locations will be announced in advance.

January

On Monday, February 16 our speaker will be author and forensic handwriting examiner Sheila Lowe who wil present a lecture on growing up in a cult (to be named at the meeting) and breaking free after 35 years.

 

 

On Friday February 20 we will have our monthly luncheon the Souplantation, Las Posas exit, Camarillo, at noon. Join us for stimulating conversation and good eats! All are welcome.
