Freethinkers of Ventura County

"Question Belief"

free-think-er n. A person who forms opinions on the basis of reason, independent of authority or tradition. Freethinkers include atheists, agnostics, skeptics, humanists and rationalists.

 Freethinkers of Ventura County is a philosophically diverse group of people with eclectic interests whose common thread is to question belief. FTVC promotes rational thinking by hosting monthly meetings with expert speakers on a wide variety of topics. The organization is both educational and social.

Monday Meetings

Meetings are held every third Monday of the month from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Round Table Pizzas, 880 Arneill Road, Camarillo (Lewis Road exit, between Vons and K-Mart). Those who wish to join us for dinner as well should arrive between 6:00 - 6:30. Special events at alternative locations will be announced in advance.

August Events

On Monday, August 18 we will host Professor Jose Alamillo from CSUCI who will discuss his experiences taking a group of student to Cuba. Questions and discussion to follow talk.

All meetings are free and open to the public.

On Friday August 22 we will have our monthly luncheon at the Souplantation in Camarillo at noon. Join us for stimulating conversation and good eats! All are welcome.
