Freethinkers of Ventura County

"Question Belief"

free-think-er n. A person who forms opinions on the basis of reason, independent of authority or tradition. Freethinkers include atheists, agnostics, skeptics, humanists and rationalists.

No one can be a freethinker who demands conformity to a bible, creed or messiah. To the freethinker, revelation and faith are invalid and orthodoxy is no guarantee of truth.

Freethinkers of Ventura County is a philosophically diverse group of people with eclectic interests whose common thread is to question belief. FTVC promotes rational discussionn by hosting monthly meetings with expert speakers on a wide variety of topics. The organization is both educational and social.
